Our History
In 1971, a north-Minneapolis Meals on Wheels program started by Northside Adult Services, a decentralized office of the Hennepin County Welfare Department, became the second program in the metro area. The program was incorporated 1981 and currently operates as North Minneapolis Meals on Wheels (NMMOW). In 2007, NMMOW delivered over 33,000 meals to home-bound seniors and disabled North Minneapolis residents.
